3 Easy Ways To Quickly Monetize Your Online Content
Content is the foundation of a successful website or web based business.
Without content your audience cannot find you.
The search engines won’t list you and you won’t be able to build a reputation or build awareness online because - Content is key!
However, content can also be a significant way to make additional money, including that coveted ‘passive income’.
So here are 3 easy ways that you can quickly monetize your online content…
Money Making Way # 1: Promote Your Own Products Or Services
If you sell products or services, you probably use your content to build credibility, readership and ultimately your profits.
However, you can also use your content to promote your own products or services.
In fact, if you’re not doing this occasionally you’re likely missing out on profits.
At a minimum, include a call to action at the bottom of articles or blog posts that link to relevant products or services.
For example, if you own a cleaning service and you’ve written an article on how to clean your grout, you can include a call to action that promotes your services.
Just because someone knows how to clean their own grout doesn’t mean they want to!
Your call to action may be the trigger that motivates them to hire you.
You can also include the occasional link to your products or services within the body of your content.
Money Making Way #2: Link To Affiliate Sites
You don’t have to promote your own products and services to make money from your content.
You can link to sales pages for other businesses and earn commissions.
It’s called affiliate income and it’s a nice way to earn money.
An affiliate is someone who promotes the products and services of others and earns commissions for their successful efforts.
Continuing with the example in #1, in that article about cleaning grout you might link to a good grout cleaning material or tool.
When your readers click on that link and buy that material or tool then you earn a commission.
Look at products and services in your industry and see if they have affiliate programs.
If they do, sign up, get your affiliate code this is the code you’ll include in your links.
It tracks your readers and ensures you get paid when they make a purchase and insert affiliate links where it makes sense in your content.
Money Making Way #3: Pay Per Click
PPC or Pay Per Click programs are advertising programs.
You sign up for the program, insert the code they give you in the body of your articles and blog posts and advertisements show up on the page.
When visitors click on the ads, you earn money.
Finally, consider partnering with someone that complements your niche and send referrals to earn a percentage of the sales.
Include links to their site in your call to action or in the body of your content and earn cash.
Ultimately the key to monetizing content is to write or create great content.
