I’m a mom, entrepreneur, speaker, trainer, coach and consultant. My mission is to provide advice, guidance and training to entrepreneurs and business owners who want to use the internet and social networking as a vehicle to drive targeted traffic and additional sales to their business.
My company, Empower U, Incorporated, is a Small Business Enterprise (SBE), Minority/Women Business Enterprise (MWBE) and Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) certified firm that specializes in workshops, seminars and interactive training programs.
My specialty is creating innovative online and social marketing strategies for companies that need assistance with their business development, as it relates to their Business to Business (B2B) and Business to Consumer (B2C) campaigns.
Over the past 17 years I have personally started five companies, provided consulting services to hundreds of start-up organizations and have assisted thousands of entrepreneurs who were in various stages and needed assistance with their business.
I am also a published author and syndicated columnist who loves to write articles on empowerment, entrepreneurship, personal and business development and various topics relating to social media and offline marketing.
My articles have appeared internationally in newspapers, magazines and on numerous business websites including multiple on-line publications.
How Would I Describe Myself…
I think the best way for me to describe myself is that I am a serial entrepreneur who loves what I call “the thrill of the kill”. To me that’s the challenge of accomplishing something that I have never taken on before.
I’m also a social networking junkie and technology geek who loves learning anything and everything that has to do with the internet, social networking and online marketing. And most importantly – how they can be used to create passive income streams.
I’ve always been fascinated with the powers of the internet and how you can harness it in a way that it totally transforms the way you can operate your business.
And I use this information to teach other entrepreneurs and business owners techniques that can be easily implemented in order to enhance and grow their businesses.
Why I Do What I Do…
I came from humble beginnings and initially starting out I did not have any form of formal education. So when I say “I’ve been there before” – I really and truly mean it!
I know first-hand how difficult life can be when you do not have the right tools required to become successful.
That’s why I consider myself very fortunate because through books, classes, life experience, training programs and going back to school – I was able to break myself free from a life of poverty.
I know the grim reality of what my life would be like had I not pursued some form of education which is why my mission, and my passion, is to help empower others so that they too can have the opportunity to live their lives at full potential.
