(Just in case you couldn’t figure it out yourself, Brian is the one on the right! ;o)
About a week ago I met a young man by the name of Brian Cain at a training event on how to make more money in your home based business here in Atlanta.
I saw him at the event, which had about 75 people at it but didn;t really get a chance to talk with him until the next day until we were at a mastermind/social hangout at one of the leaders homes.
It was this chance conversation that I had with him that made me realize just how WRONG I had been for so many years on how I been running my business… I mean the conversation was a real eye opener!
So much that I jotted down the conversation and decided that with Brian permission I wanted to share it with you!
You see… Brian is NOT your typical 21 year. He’s actually mush smarter and wiser then many “grown folks” I know.
At 21, Brian is a college “drop out” who attempted to go to school two different times.
By the time he finally left the last time, he had only managed to complete one semester of community college and only had 5 f’s and 5 w’s to show for it!
During this time, he also worked a variety of jobs which included tele-marking where he was responsible for cold calling home owners trying to pre-sale them solar services and then as a file clerk in attorney’s office.
Brian lives in California where the cost of living is pretty high but even though he was promoted on one job, he never made more than $14.00 per hour!
After getting fed up, Brian decided he no longer wanted to work for someone else and decided to become an entrepreneur and in less than a year he completely replaced his income (and then some) working online from home in about 1/4 of the time!
I asked Brian is he had any advice that he would like to give to people his age and he provided me with the statement below. But after reading it, I think that the information he gives is applicable to a lot of grown folks too!
“Education holds the highest value in the world!
However, College and the Military are the “traps” in our system that will keep you a slave either to the government or through debt.
Why not choose now, to gain a few “real-world” skills that are the highest paid skills in the world while getting paid to learn.
With this decision and action, you have the ability to influence the world now on a level that you may not even believe to be possible… yet!
Society teaches a “broken system” that has been proven not to work by many of the baby boomers who have not been able to retire after 40 years of hard work and still working at Wal-Mart.
It’s time to make a decision to do something now.
Worst case scenario, would you rather spend $25 and discover that you [quit] after 90 days, or be involved in the 90%+ who work and fail to retire AFTER LOSING 40 YEARS OF YOUR LIFE!”
